How do I create a custom time control?
From the time control list, choose to add a new preset. Use Simple mode to set minutes, seconds, increment, and delay, or Advanced mode to build multi-stage controls (for example, 40 moves in 2 hours, then 1 hour to finish) with independent settings per player.
What's the difference between Fischer, Bronstein, and Delay?
These are different ways extra time is handled each move. Fischer adds the increment before your move, Bronstein returns up to the increment you used, and Delay waits before your main clock starts counting down. You can pick the mode when building a custom control.
Can I use the clock sitting across the board from my opponent?
Yes. Switch to Horizontal Left or Horizontal Right orientation so each player reads their own time right-side up.
Where are my game statistics stored?
All game history and statistics are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server. You can clear individual games or all history from the app.
How do I adjust a player's time during a game?
Pause the game, then adjust either player's remaining time. Resume when you're ready.
The app didn't save my game.
Unfinished games are auto-saved so you can resume them. If something looks off, email us with your device model and iOS version and we'll help.
