Daily Journal — Privacy Policy

Effective July 6, 2026

Daily Journal is a one-page-a-day journaling app made by Flow Technical Solutions LLC. It is built to be private by default: there is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and the one case in which any of it leaves your device.

1. Your journal stays on your device

2. The one exception: Pro reflections

If you subscribe to Daily Journal Pro and tap the reflection button, the app sends the following to our server over HTTPS, solely to generate that reflection:

Our server verifies your subscription with RevenueCat, then forwards the text to Anthropic (the AI provider behind the Claude model) to generate the reflection, and returns the result to your device. This processing is ephemeral: we do not store your entry text, the generated reflection, or any journal content on our servers. The reflection is saved only on your device.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple (StoreKit). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status under an anonymous app-user ID. We never see your payment details, name, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

4. Service providers

5. Data deletion

All journal data lives on your device — deleting an entry deletes it, and deleting the app deletes everything. There is no server-side journal data to delete. Cancelling your subscription is handled in your App Store account settings.

6. Children

Daily Journal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change (for example, if a sync feature is ever added), this policy will be updated first, with a new effective date at the top.
