Aloud for iPhone

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 3, 2026

These terms govern your use of Aloud, an app that reads documents aloud on iPhone, and of the optional Aloud account that syncs your library between devices. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. Where these terms are silent, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

License to use the app

Flow Technical Solutions LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Aloud on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to Apple's App Store terms.

What Aloud does

Aloud extracts the text from documents, web pages, and images you provide and reads it aloud on your device, with the speech voices built into iOS or with natural voice models that Aloud downloads to your device. Text extraction is automatic and may be imperfect, especially for scanned or unusually formatted documents. Natural voices can mispronounce words; if one fails on a sentence, a system voice reads that sentence instead.

Your optional account

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents you add, and Aloud does not claim ownership of them. You are responsible for having the right to use any content you add. Without an account, your documents stay on your device. If you sign in, you allow Flow Technical Solutions LLC to store, copy, and transmit the documents you sync, only as needed to keep them in your account and on your devices. That permission ends for each document when you delete it or your account.

Acceptable use

Do not use Aloud or its sync service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, store or share content you have no right to use, try to reach another person's account or data, or overload or interfere with the app, the service, or the App Store. Do not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

Services we rely on

Aloud depends on services run by other companies: Apple (the App Store and Sign in with Apple), Google (Firebase and Sign in with Google), RevenueCat (subscription status), and Hugging Face (natural voice downloads). Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms apply to your use of them. The privacy policy explains what each one receives.

No warranty

Aloud is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of text extraction or speech, and uninterrupted or error-free sync. Aloud is a convenience tool and should not be relied on where a misread word could cause harm.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flow Technical Solutions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Aloud, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and Flow Technical Solutions LLC agree to their jurisdiction. If you live outside the United States, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live or your right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the current version is always at this address, with the date of the last change at the top. Continuing to use Aloud after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may stop offering Aloud, sync, or any feature at any time; if sync ends, documents already on your devices stay there. You may stop using Aloud at any time by deleting your account if you have one, deleting the app, and cancelling your subscription.
